Maggie McClure's album is set to be released February 11, 2014 but, with solid hooks, pure vocals, and sweet lyrics that teeter on the edge of pop while holding tight to alternative compositions, songs like this promise that the album won't be just another quickly fading pop fad.
Those clear vocals grabbed my attention before anything else and the slowly building composition brings to mind the heavy piano presence in Slow Runner's tracks mixed with the lilting melodies and uninhibited vocal clarity of Mates of State, but with just enough of a solid pop influence that McClure manages to make the sound uniquely her own.
There will be more on this artist to come but, for now, just sit back, enjoy the song, and start getting excited for the album's release.
